Camano Island State Park

It was going to be a gorgeous weekend and when I woke up to blue skies and warming temperatures (and with Eric having to work on Sunday) we made a last minute decision to head up to Camano Island State Park for a quick hike in the sun. We even ran into two friends while we were out there!

Another extended Hiatus should be ending-ish

Again, apologies, around Halloween of last  year Eric and I learned that we were expecting a tiny human addition to the family. On top of that, we went house shopping and bought a house!  Our weekends since, with Eric working at least one weekend day every week and getting small home improvement projects completed, meant we didn't devote much time to getting out and exploring the outdoors.

Thankfully, things have settled down a bit and we're slowly getting back in the swing of things!  Expect two new posts shortly!

I'm not sure how much hiking we'll be doing in late June and July, as that's about when the kiddo is set to arrive, but we will for sure be including her in our adventures! Stay tuned!

Wallace Falls State Park (THE RETURN!)

We once again had a visitor from Florida (a different person this time!) who was a former coworker of Eric's. She had come out to visit a former and current coworker, Dan, and we were invited to come along with them to Wallace Falls. The last time we had been there was of course in December of 2010, so I was totally up for a new season for hiking to the falls.

It was a beautiful day, with warmer weather and the sun even made an appearance for a good portion of the trip!
