Hiking fell by the wayside with the kiddo but we have had a few adventures. I'll try and catch up on the backlog.
Last August we decided to attempt Mount Pilchuck with the kidlet in the hiking pack. Enjoy the photos!
View from the Parking Lot
It was a gorgeous day, as you can see!
The Kidlet was not quite so amused, but was tolerant. After all, new things to see!
We hit clouds right away. It kept things cool, which was nice. The trail was very busy.
1 mile! Brutal.
But the kidlet is riding in style!
Peekaboo views!
Hello there parking lot... really gives you an appreciation for how much climbing you've done...
Into the scrubbier zone.
Rocks up ahead.
Hiking up into the clouds.
Me!
Ooof.
It was so pretty up here.
We stopped to have lunch because kidlet was getting fussy. Our lunch spot had really nice views.
But since the kidlet was getting fussy and tired, we decided to head back down. We'd reached a respectable height, even if it wasn't the summit and felt accomplished enough. Thankfully the kidlet slept all the way down the mountain.
Kidlet got her first fat lip back at the car. awww.
All in all it was a nice, if grueling hike. I'll want to go back when I'm in better shape to try and finish it. I'd love to get to the top!
