After a hiatus.... Seven Ponds Nature Center

Well, a lot has changed. My husband accepted a new job with General Motors, just north of Detroit Michigan. We moved there as of March 2015 and are about to move into our new home! While the web address of this blog is no longer accurate as we're not in the PNW anyway (SAD AMY) I still fully intend to get out and explore and hike! Today, we did just that!

Our new house is just minutes away from a small nature preserve called Seven Ponds Nature Center. They have hiking/walking trails and a beautiful little indoor exploration center with a lot of hands on activities!  It was perfect for our now almost 3 year old. She had a blast at this place. It was easy walking and we did 1.7 miles in just under an hour. She walked over half of that! Go kiddo! It was awesome to see her so excited about the animals we got to see on the trail!

She got tired about a mile into the walk. Thankfully I brought one of my soft structured carriers so she could 'ride on Daddy's belly'

We saw two kayakers on the water. I'm jealous! It was a gorgeous day to be out paddling. 

Tired little girl. She passed out in the car on the way home. Soon we'll be able to come here all the time! We're over an hour away now, but next week we'll be only 10 minutes away! We've already got our membership!
