The trail undulates along, sometimes in this clearer forest type of landscape, other times you're fighting past summer plant growth that wants to take over the trail.
My wife, Erica and I moved to Washington state just before Thanksgiving 2010. This will serve to catalogue our adventures throughout the Pacific Northwest. Come along for the ride!

Barclay Lake
This is another repeat hike, but it's also been so long that I'm not minding traversing the same trails. Plus, a lot of the hikes we did, especially with family or friends, were also good ones for kids.
I was tasked with picking a hike out for Eric's coworkers to join us on. Since we were all coming from the Everett area, I picked a hike out along Rte 2, Barclay Lake! The elevation gain is minimal and the total mileage roundtrip is about 4.4. Easy for Kaylee, and given the fact it wasn't steep, easy to carry Hazel. You do need a Northwest Forest Pass, or you can pay a $5 day use fee at the trail head.
